31st Annual Aunt Het Festival Returns To Fountain Inn Next Weekend

Carving pumpkins, picking apples, football games, and bonfires all come to mind as soon as the leaves start turning and Fall rolls in. However, if you are from Fountain Inn, you know Fall also means the Aunt Het Festival has returned. This year marks the 31st anniversary for the family event, as well as the first year Nevermore Antiques will be a presence in downtown Fountain Inn. There will be plenty to do on October 4th; Classic/antique car and truck show, quilt show, arts & crafts, activities for kids, and lots of wonderful food. The best part? Free admission!

Saturdays are usually great business days for antique stores, but we expect next Saturday to be an especially busy one. Free drinks, balloons, and a store-wide sale are just three good reasons to come by. We are also excited for our friend, Ken Hutto, to have some of his vintage motorcycles on display.

1968 Montgomery Wards Model 450SS.

1947 Schwinn Whizzer Motorbike

1965 Harley Davidson Model M-50

So, if you don't have any plans and are looking for something that the whole family can enjoy, come on down to Fountain Inn. While you're here, stop by the store and see what we have!

Antique of the Week~ September 20, 2014

Good morning! This is Nevermore Antiques' first blog post. We will be highlighting our favorite items from the store weekly. We hope you enjoy reading about them as much as we enjoy finding them.
 ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Coca-Cola...an American Icon

Coca-Cola has been a household name for nearly one hundred years and is perhaps the most recognized brand worldwide. No matter your age, you probably have a favorite Coke commercial or jingle, and can quickly tell when you've been given Pepsi instead.

Since the brand is so popular, not all Coca-Cola antiques and collectibles are necessarily rare finds. However, Nevermore Antiques has a truly impressive collection of Coke memorabilia. From a cooler that has been converted into a beautiful couch, to a fully restored cash register- the larger-than-life brand has a section of its own in our store. We have seen coolers come and go, rusty buttons re-purposed,  and thermometers just don't hang around in the store long enough.

Our Coke Corner
While antique sales can be unpredictable from one week to the next , one thing is for certain; Coca-Cola is here to stay...128 years and counting.

Here are some of our favorite items:

Vintage Register Restored In Coca-Cola Motif

Cooler Converted Into Couch

Coca-Cola Button Re-purposed

Circa 1940's Coca-Cola Vendo 123 Junior Bottle Vending Machine

These crates are very common among collectors!
