The first crop grown for money in America, tobacco has a long and rich history dating back to Native Americans. Considering tobacco to be a gift from their Creator, they believed exhaled tobacco smoke was capable of carrying thoughts and prayers to heaven . It was the main source of money for the first settlers and generated funding for the American Revolution against England. It was chewed, smoked in a pipe, or hand-rolled into a cigarette.
Most of us can remember which brand our parents or grandparents preferred, even down to the smell.
